What: The annual time in the country for people from Judson to spend time together talking, playing, socializing.

When: September 16-18, 2016

Where: Incarnation Center near Ivoryton, Connecticut


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How are the accommodations?

We have two cabin areas: Brooks/Bell/Lodge with singles, twins and a few triples; and Katsanis with bunk beds and doubles. All rooms have shared bathrooms, heat, and bedding.

What’s the food like?

There’s a big snack on Friday evening, and meals in the Lodge dining room from Saturday breakfast through Sunday lunch are buffet style, with vegetarian possibilities. There will also be coffee and tea available ‘round the clock, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks both evenings and snacks at Saturday’s parties. You won’t be hungry.

Remember, if you have special dietary restrictions, be sure to specify them on the Registration Form.

How do I get there?

A 55 passenger bus with bathroom leaves from Judson at 6:00 sharp on Friday and returns from the camp at 2:00 on Sunday. It costs $45 for adults and $25 (same rate as last year) for children age 0 to 18. Please note that children may not travel on laps! For their safety and security, all children must occupy their own seat. For children ages 2 and below, be sure to bring a car seat. If you drive, directions will be provided in The Weekend Handbook.

What will I do?

Traditional group activities include getting acquainted via“The Question;” Q and A with the ministers; cocktail, music and dance parties; and Sunday morning worship by the lake, with baptisms. There’s a lake with swimming and boating, trails for hiking, other sports, and places inside and out to sit and talk. There’s also a farm, crafts table, and maybe yoga. Or just relax—it’s up to you.

Will there be activities for children?

Our NYC kids have more freedom to safely roam, and childcare is provided both mornings with planned activities.

Is it possible to pay for registration a bit at a time?

Yes! We are proud to announce that this year we are launching a payment plan option for those who wish to pay over time between now and the Weekend. Sign up as soon as possible by sending an email to: molly@judson.org

Are there scholarships available?

We encourage those who can to give more so there can be partial scholarships available. To get help, decide how much a week you can pay, and then contact Donna Schaper.

What if I can’t come to The Weekend at all?

No need to worry! There will still be a Sunday Worship Service on September 20 in NYC.
